Gig Diary - The Cavern, Irvine - February 18th 2005

Diary AvaYou know, we’ve waited years for our first “wacky-rock-n-roll-adventure” style road-trip. This was it. Allegedly….

 

Organised to support the fundraising for tsunami relief and another Irvine based charity, we were more than happy to make the 45 minute drive down to Irvine, on the west coast. The evening started in a delayed fashion, when daves car only just got out of the garage at ten past 5 in the evening, when we were supposed to leave at 5pm….

Gig Diary - The Cathouse, Glasgow - February 10th 2005

Diary AvaYou know the best part of being in an unsigned band doing gigs? Humping.

 

I think that when you’re rich and famous you can pay people to do it for you but at the moment, it’s all us baby.

 

So we humped two guitars, the biggest amp in the world, and all of Rick’s drum paraphernalia (isn’t that a great word?) up three flights of stairs. It was like Ghostbusters meets Vertigo.

it’s occured to me that it’s now 2005, and all we’ve spoken about here is 2004….
well, wait no longer. we’re back, and we’re on the gig circuit.
After a month of rehearsals, where we’ve tried out and rejected more new tunes than that Libertines Singer has had hot dragon-chases, we’re gearing up for an important month. Continued »
